Presentation

Jag är fil dr i koreanologi (koreaforskning eller Korean studies), docent i interkulturell pedagogik och lektor i pedagogiskt arbete samt lärare i interkulturella studier och i svenska som andraspråk vid Institutionen för språk, litteratur och interkultur vid Karlstads universitet och jag undervisar även i genusvetenskap och litteraturvetenskap. Mina forskningsintressen och forskningsområden rör kritisk ras- och vithetsforskning, adoptions- och migrationsforskning, korea- och asienforskning, kulturstudier och kritisk teori samt visuella studier och postkolonial teori.

Tobias Hübinette (Korean name: Lee Sam-dol) has a Ph.D. in Korean Studies, is a Reader in Intercultural Education and a Senior Lecturer in Pedagogical Work and a teacher in Intercultural Studies and in Swedish as a Second Language at the Department of Language, Literature and Intercultural Studies at Karlstad University and he is also teaching gender studies and comparative literature.

Research interests and research areas:
critical race and whiteness studies, adoption and migration studies, Korean and Asian studies, cultural studies and critical theory, visual studies and postcolonial theory
