Den svensk-koreanska konstnären Sookyoung Huh ställer ut på Galleri ID:I i Stockholm och behandlar frågan om rasism mot asiater i Sverige under pandemin.
”This exhibition addresses the spoken, or unspoken, words and body language of those who have experienced a shifted reality during the past year and a half.
During the recent pandemic, the horizon of life perspectives and work situations for everyone has changed. Both the young and the old have had their collective experiences that has given them a whole different attitude and atmosphere in order to keep society moving forward and in unison, protecting each other.
These collective images are from the streets of my daily routine, creating a new way to see the daily object that welds a shield for myself from micro-aggressions.
This acts as a note toward the people I have met on a daily basis throughout my journey in the city – wondering if the enemy is the virus or us.”
